Insulated glass

As indicated by its name, the primary purpose of Insulated glass is to ensure insulation between the interior and exterior environments. By incorporating different glass types during the manufacturing of Insulated glass it becomes possible to achieve diverse properties according to the users' requirements.
It has the capability to prevent heat dissipation in cold climate conditions and minimize heat absorption in hot conditions. Additionally, it offers protection against sunlight, noise, and burglary.

Insulated glass is comprised of two or three glass panes connected with one or two spacers (spacer profiles) in between them.

The most common form of spacer is aluminum (hollow aluminum profile). There are also WarmEdge profiles (TGI; TERMIX), SUPERSPACER, and TPS.

The hollow space within the spacer is filled with a desiccant, which is a granular substance that absorbs moisture, thus preventing moisture buildup between the glass panes.

The attachment of the glass panes to the spacers is accomplished by applying butyl, which serves as an adhesive and insulating material for the spacers. After bonding, the Insulated glass is pressed to reinforce the connection, and then sealed using polyurethane, which is applied between the glass panes on the outer surface of the spacer. Once the polyurethane has dried, the Insulated glass is ready for installation.
